Battle of the Decades
Live at Bunk Bar on December 31st, 2015 in Portland, Oregon.
There was a "Battle of the Decades" show which featured four groups of various Portland musicians each playing songs from a particular decade, 1950-1980.
I got video of most of it. There are three songs that I don't have have video for due to various reasons (dealing with recording audio, really wanting a beer, etc).
I brought my SLR camera and used it for the 1950s set but it was too big of a pain to lug around, plus I don't like using it at smaller shows where the stage is low since it is annoying for the people around me.
I ended up using my two Canon G15s for the rest of the show which worked alright, even if I looked a bit silly holding two cameras. (which in my costume of a Pink Floyd tie-dye and neon Spandex bike shorts...wasn't that hard). My friend MCQ was there also and grabbed a handful of clips which was good because I didn't always have the best camera postion due to the show being sold out and quite crowded.
Thanks for Jerimiah for mixing the house audio. I had my multitrack there but we were having trouble getting the board to send everything to it, so I just plugged into the tape out and hoped for the best....and the best was good. I mixed the audio with a room mic I had running also.
What a fun night this was!
